Thoranai is an Indian 2009 bilingual action-comedy film written and directed by Sabha Ayyappan and produced by Vikram Krishna under the banner G K Film Corporation, and starring Vishal and Shriya in the lead roles and Santhanam, Polladhavan Kishore, Ali and Prakash Raj in another pivotal roles. The film was simultaneously shot in Tamil and Telugu languages, with the latter titled as Pistha. The film was released on 29 May 2009 to negative reviews and was declared as a Super Hit at the box office. The Hindi dubbed version, titled Vishal Ki Kurbani was almost released an year later in 2010.
